Colorful is a free color tool for designers and artists, with all the tools you need in one place.
Perceptually Uniform
Most color tools are built on RGB or HSL, but these formats are designed for screens, not eyes. A 10% lightness change in HSL doesn't look like 10% to the eye. For example colors that HSL has as "equally saturated" aren't so to humans.
Instead, colorful is built on OKLCH, a perceptually uniform color space where the values match what you see. Equal steps in lightness appear equal and harmonies look harmonic.
For traditional artists: the Paint Mixer simulates real pigment mixing using spectral reflectance data of common pigments. In typical RGB mixers, blue mixed with yellow gives you gray not green.
